Trip Tips

Traveling is an exciting experience that will create memories to last a lifetime.  However, advance planning needs to be made to ensure a pleasant journey.  Below are tips to ensure your tour goes smoothly and safely.

  • Do not carry a lot of cash.  A.T.M. machines are accessible across the U.S.
  • Try to limit yourself to one suitcase and a carry on.
  • We strongly recommend staying in groups of at least four and a chaperone while touring the attractions.
  • Hotel curfews are set by the teachers.  We recommend 11:00 p.m. since we start out early in the mornings.
  • Do not wear expensive jewelry.  Items can be lost, damaged, or stolen.
  • Be aware of your purse and wallet.  Travel pouches are recommended.
  • Keep important phone numbers with you at all times.
  • Bring comfortable footwear.  Many sightseeing tours are on foot.
  • It is crucial to remain punctual while on tour.  It only takes one person being late to throw off a whole day’s schedule at everyone's expense.
  • When venturing out on your own or away from the group, it is wise to have the name, address, and phone number of your hotel with you.
