Day
1: TRANSFER TO BIRMINGHAM, AL / TRAVEL BY
AMTRAK: We board our motorcoach this
morning, and after picking up along the way,
we’ll arrive in Birmingham where we board
Amtrak (Coach Class seats) for our New York
City adventure. Our train departs early
afternoon. Enjoy your overnight train ride
with your friends and get acquainted with
your fellow travelers. Upgrades to Sleeper
Cabins based on availability. |

Day
2:
AMTRAK ARRIVES
PENN STATION / TRANSFER TO HOTEL / WALKING
ORIENTATION TOUR / NEW YORK CITY:
Upon arrival at Penn Station in NYC, we
transfer to our hotel in the heart of
Midtown close to the Theatre District,
restaurants, and shopping. After checking
into our hotel and freshening up, you can
either explore at your leisure or join your
Goodtime Travel Tour Director on a walking
orientation tour.

Day 3: ALL
DAY “ALL LOOPS TOUR” ON-OFF SIGHTSEEING PASS
/ FREE DAY FOR EXPLORING & SHOPPING / NEW
YORK CITY: For two days you have the
options of a personally guided tour, a “go
on your own” excursion, or a combination of
the two. Either way, you will enjoy New York
as you never imagined. Experience narrated
tours of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Harlem with
a 48-hour On/Off Gray Line Sightseeing pass.
See everything that is New York, choosing
what you want to highlight: Central Park,
Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue,
Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral,
Time Square, Chinatown, Statue of Liberty &
Ellis Island and Ground Zero. Wow, what a
list, but so exciting! After an included
dinner at Playwright Tavern Restaurant, we
will attend an exciting Broadway musical.

Day 4: FERRY TO ELLIS
ISLAND / STATUE OF LIBERTY / ALL DAY “ALL
LOOPS TOUR” ON-OFF SIGHTSEEING PASS / FREE
DAY FOR EXPLORING & SHOPPING / NEW YORK
CITY:
Continue your personally guided tour or
strike out on your own. Either way, you have
your 48-hour On-Off sightseeing pass. Your
guide will take the group by ferry to visit
Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. You may
reserve a portion of this day for one of
NYC’s most exciting attractions…shopping!
Visit flagship stores of famous retail
chains like Macy’s and Saks, browse
through specialty shops for the elegant and
the obscure, and indulge your passion for
collecting treasures and bargains. Vast
variety and competitive pricing make New
York the ultimate shopping source. This is
your day!

Day 5: FREE
MORNING / TRANSFER TO PENN STATION / TRAVEL
BY AMTRAK: You will have a free
morning and time for lunch (on your own)
before our group is transferred to Penn
Station. We depart early afternoon for our
overnight trip home. Only now can we
understand why New York City is the world's
number one attraction! It seems that there's
just no end to the sights or the excitement
of the Big Apple. But, we’ll be back! |

6: AMTRAK ARRIVES BIRMINGHAM, AL / TRANSFER
HOME: What an adventure this has
been! New York is truly like no other place
on earth. We arrive in Birmingham this
morning then transfer home. |

Amtrak Sleeper Car:
Most will choose to snooze in their spacious
Coach-Class reclining seats. Once we arrive
in NYC, you will have time at the
hotel to freshen-up before exploring the Big
Apple.
If you prefer
to have your private sleeping quarters,
there are a limited number of Sleeper
Cabins. Once these cabins are sold, any
additional cabins will be based on Amtrak’s
availability and prices. There is a
limit of 2 people per cabin.
