| | Day 1: GET ACQUAINTED / LAKE CITY, FL: -- For those who are enchanted by the sounds of the ocean, sandy beaches, sunny days, and life moving at a little slower pace, or for those who desire a great adventure, this is your golden opportunity. Today we get acquainted with our traveling friends in route to our accommodations in Lake City.

| Day 2: 2 TAMPA / BUSCH GARDENS AFRICA / DINNER / BRADENTON, FL: -- Today we visit Busch Gardens Africa, one of America’s largest zoological gardens. This theme park has more than 2,700 animals mingled with exotic tropical plants in a setting of rare beauty. Choose from an array of entertaining shows throughout the park. A special dinner is included this evening. We overnight in Bradenton. (D) |
| Day 3: SARASOTA / RINGLING MUSEUM OF THE CIRCUS, ART MUSEUM & RESIDENCE / FORT MEYERS / THOMAS EDISON HOME / NAPLES, FL: -- At the Ringling Museum, we learn the history of the circus in America. You’ll enjoy seeing this collection of circus wagons, costumes, and memorabilia. While here we will also visit the home of John and Mable Ringling and the world class Ringling Museum of Art. Later we tour the winter home of Thomas Edison which holds a rare collection of antique phonographs as well as an exhibit depicting the history of electric light. We overnight in Naples. (L) |
| Day 4: EVERGLADES AIRBOAT TOUR / KEY WEST, FL: -- Journey into nature’s secretly preserved wilderness on a thrilling airboat ride in the legendary Everglades National Park. Glide through this natural wonder and encounter lush vegetation and tranquility. You will be amidst alligators, native flora and exotic wildlife in their habitat as you skim across a river of grass. After this exciting adventure we continue to the southernmost tip of the contiguous 48 states, Key West, where we have accommodations for the next two nights. |
Day 5: TROLLEY TOUR / FREE TIME / KEY WEST, FL: -- Explore Key West at a leisurely pace aboard Old Town Trolley Tours. This fully narrated trolley makes nine stops so you can get off along the way for shopping, attractions, and dining. Sit back while expert tour guides turn back the pages of history to the days of Indians, pirates, ship wreckers and the Civil War. Hear stories of the success and disaster of Henry Flagler’s railroad - the railroad that went to sea. Step off for a tour of Ernest Hemingway’s former residence – and home to over 50 cats! Enjoy Key West with its sub-tropical palms, flowers, banyan trees and 19th-century gingerbread houses. Be sure not to miss the glorious sunset! (FB)

| Day 6: PALM BEACH, FL / THE HENRY FLAGLER-WHITEHALL MUSEUM / DINNER / FT. PIERCE, FL: -- Heading north we return to the mainland enjoying the tropical scenery along the spectacular overseas highway. In Palm Beach we will tour Henry Flagler’s Whitehall Mansion. In 1902, the New York Herald described Whitehall as, "More wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Flagler’s role in the railroad and the development of Florida is quite interesting. Dinner is included this evening. (FB, D) |
| Day 7: DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY / FREE BEACH TIME / ORMOND BEACH, FL: -- Our motorcoach winds its way along Florida’s east coast to Daytona Beach. You don't have to be a racing fan to enjoy a visit to the Daytona International Speedway and you will have a blast! Get up close on a guided tram tour of the facility, including the garage area, pit road and more. Learn about the history, and excitement of racing in Daytona. Get the feel of what it's like to zoom around the track in a Daytona 500 race from a motion simulator. Hop inside your own NASCAR vehicle in Acceleration Alley, and roar up to 200 mph in a spectacular simulator that combines motion, video, projection, and sound for the ultimate racing experience! Enjoy a stroll on the beach and sleep to the roar of crashing waves from our beach-front hotel…Ahhh! |
| Day 8: TOUR OF ST. AUGUSTINE, FL / LUNCH / FREE TIME / SOUTH GEORGIA: -- St. Augustine is America's oldest city. The formidable fort, Castillo de San Marcos, overlooks the water just outside the city gates. Here you can explore the majesty of the oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S. After our guided tour and an included lunch, there will be time for exploring this quaint old city. Wherever you step, history is under your feet as you stroll brick-lined streets along lovely Matanzas Bay. (L) |
Day 9: 9 LUNCH AT CLASSIC ON NOBLE / HOME: -- Dining is an elegant experience and the food is so tasty at Classic on Noble, our last included meal. As we continue, we take with us many fond memories of our wonderful Florida adventure. (L)
